Instead of fighting back with anger (the reaction the WBC is looking for) Cupertino High School students are planning a silent counter-protest. Here’s how you can join:

• WBC will start their protest at 8am, but plan to arrive earlier for the counter-protest because there will be traffic. CHS is located at 10100 Finch Avenue, Cupertino, CA 95014.
• Wear purple, the color commonly used to represent anti-bullying.
• Again, this will be a silent protest. The WBC feeds off of angry reactions to their hateful protests, so we can send a stronger message if we give them no reaction.
• There will be signs that explain our stance against the WBC’s protest.
• Although this is a silent protest, we may be singing peaceful songs at the end (i.e. “Imagine” by John Lennon).
• The WBC plans to leave by 8:45am. Monta Vista students have late start, so school will start for us at 9:25am. Try to park far away from Tino to avoid traffic so we can get to school on time.
